Overview
The knob is mainly used in all kinds of potentiometer and switch to provide the operator with the most intuitive visual cues in dark environment.
Specifications
- 1.Materials: knob is used transparent thermoplastic material to mold. Insert is brass, according to 4423-1992 GB implementation.
- 2.The diameter of the shaft hole and the diameter of the shaft shall be in accordance with the requirements of appendix 1.
- 3.Coating: knob, black No. 37038, gray No. 36231, are according to FED-STD-595C ; Medium gray B02,is according to GSB 05-1526-2001. All the white marks on the grey knob are surrounded by a black border as shown in the figure. Insert needs to be plated with nickel, according to GJB/Z594A-2000.
- 4.The contrast of knob is at least 7. Contrast (C) is defined as:
Where B1 is the average brightness of the black border or background, B2 is the average brightness of the mark.
- 5.The luminance ratio shown in the figure is the ratio between the average brightness of mark illuminated on the knob and the average brightness of standard light source. Standard light source simulates ring of knob on light guide plate, luminance ratio is denoted by decimals. Engineer establishes luminance relationship between light emitting region on light guide plate and knob marks using luminance ratio.Due to the lack of complete data on all knob models, the luminance ratio indexes are omitted in the catalog.However, if you need, the specific data can be provided in accordance with the technical documentation requirements.
- 6.The luminance ratio does not contain the marks of which radius of knob center is less than 6.4.
- 7.Unless specified otherwise, tolerance of the basic size with one decimal is ±0.5mm, tolerance of angle is ±2°
